SIMPLi’s salt hails from ponds fed by natural spring water in the protected Sacred Valley of the Incas in the Peruvian Andes Mountains. They are harvested by Yolanda Acurio Mendoza, who runs the Comunidad Salinera de Maras, a co-op of women fighting the exploitative nature of the unregulated salt market in Peru. We worked with Yolanda to create three custom salts, one coarse pink salt and two fine pink salt blends that feature herbs and spices from the Sacred Valley.

Scoop these extraordinary salts with our limited-edition serving spoons, crafted by hand from 100% sustainable olive wood in collaboration with Olea, an artisan olive wood producer based in Lima, Peru. Olea employs eco-friendly methods that not only minimize energy consumption but also contribute to the rejuvenation of ancient olive groves.
