With Nearly 500% year-over-year Growth at Whole Foods Market, SIMPLi Expands Distribution, Launching Oils and Salt with the Retailer Nationwide

SIMPLi has also partnered Dot Foods to bring its regenerative organic pantry staples to restaurateurs, chefs and sourcing managers, becoming one of the first regenerative organic suppliers for America’s Largest Food Redistributor.

SIMPLi, the leading regenerative organic pantry staples brand, continues to expand its retail distribution, with its single-origin, ethically produced oils and Peruvian spice salt now available nationwide at Whole Foods Market. Today, SIMPLi’s suite of products can be found in 3,000 stores nationwide. The company is also announcing its partnership with Dot Foods, North America’s largest food redistributor, broadening access to SIMPLi’s line of Regenerative Organic Certified® products to more restaurateurs, chefs, and sourcing managers.

Amongst a variety of sustainability claims in the market that continue to gain traction, Regenerative Organic Certificated® (ROC) is the top performer, seeing 39% year-over-year growth in unit performance according to the SPINS 2024 CPG Trends report. This growth is not only encouraging but critical. The report noted that soil erosion may reduce crop yields by a tenth by 2050 — the equivalent of removing millions of acres of farmland. Paired with the fact that 2024 has been the hottest summer on record across the states, the need to accelerate regenerative agriculture becomes clear.

To meet the growing consumer demand, SIMPLi is bringing its Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Olive Oil Blend, and Peruvian Spice Salt Blend to Whole Foods Market locations nationwide. Two years ago, SIMPLi had just three retail products in less than 100 stores. Today, the company has 15 products in 3,000 stores, experiencing 2900% growth in retail placements over three years. Across all products, SIMPLi has experienced 492% year-over-year growth at Whole Foods Market. SIMPLi’s retail distribution is flourishing across the country. In the past year alone, SIMPLi has expanded into Sprouts Farmers Market, The Fresh Market, National Co-Op Grocers, and more.

SIMPLi’s partnership with Dot traces back to the company’s roots. Since its founding in 2020, SIMPLi has proudly partnered with chefs and foodservice providers to enhance their menus with single-origin, high-quality ingredients. Rooted in Indigenous wisdom and farming practices, SIMPLi’s farm partners produce nutrient-dense crops, such as chia seeds and a wide variety of grains, beans and oils, all of which are now available in Dot’s 5,200 distribution customers serving foodservice, supermarket, retail, and convenience sales channels.

This news comes on the heels of continued growth and notable achievements for the company. This year, co-founder Sarela Herrada was named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Mid-Atlantic, and to Inc.’s Female Founders 250 list. What’s more, SIMPLi’s farmer partnerships continue to grow. The company saw a 30% increase in farm partners in the first half of 2024. SIMPLi is projected to grow its farmer network by over 250% in the next 12 months, and is expecting to add 1,030 new farmers to its Regenerative Pathway Program (RPP) by the end of the year, SIMPLi’s scalable solution for regenerative organic agriculture.
