Becoming Regenerative Organic Certified® is a rigorous journey because of the certification’s high standards. In fact, Regenerative Organic Certification® is the highest standard of certification in the world, building on the practices of USDA Organic certification and Fair for Life certification. Knowing how critical regenerative organic agriculture is to the future of human health and our planet and how challenging it can be for smallholder farmers to get certified, we at SIMPLi created our innovative Regenerative Pathway Program (RPP) to help support our farmers’ transition from conventional, transitional organic, or organic farming all the way up to becoming Regenerative Organic Certified®.
Our RPP is a comprehensive program designed to empower farmers around the globe to embrace regenerative organic practices and provides them with the resources, knowledge, and skills needed to successfully transition towards the gold standard in agriculture: Regenerative Organic Certified®. What’s more, this program extends beyond the scope of certification – it's a catalyst for positive social and environmental change. By investing in communities, our approach creates a domino effect that fuels long-term economic stability and environmental preservation and uplifts communities worldwide.
We're not just teaching farmers how to get certified; we're fostering a deeper knowledge for them to be able to grow beyond SIMPLi, create their own impact in the world, and help strengthen our food systems and environmental health long-term. The first farming community we launched SIMPLi’s RPP is the District of Taraco in Puno, Peru. We started working with them in 2019 and we were able to get them Regenerative Organic Certified® in 2023.
